ELLA LANE PHOTOGRAPHY

Hey everyone! My name is Brittany Donaldson and I am the owner and photographer of Ella Lane Photography. I'm starting this blog in the hopes of allowing you to know the person behind the lens as well as my family, my business and why I do what I do.

Life through a camera lens is one I never saw coming. It allows me to see true beauty. For me, it's like looking through the eyes of God, allowing me to see individual people and not just the crowd. So often in life we get caught up in "the big picture." We seldom stop to appreciate the smaller "snipits" in life. That's my passion. Helping people see the small things and appreciate them as the big things. 

 

I got started in photography at an outreach we do at church every year. Our media guru, Daniel, sat down his camera to talk with people, so I picked it up and started snapping pictures. I'm still documenting events to this day!

I've been married to my best friend and partner in crime, David, for over 10 years now. We have a beautiful five year old daughter, Reese Ella and our second, "Baby D," is due April 2018. David is a youth pastor and we love our "Crazy Kids" (that's what Reese calls our students)!

I'm an Arkansas native, born and raised and I absolutely love the natural beauty that this state has to offer. I work part-time for our church in the media department documenting church life through pictures and video, working on the website, and keeping up our social media. I work full-time for our school district with Junior High Students and I spend my nights editing, doing laundry, cooking dinner, giving our daughter a bath, reading Charlotte's Web, or just enjoying our latest Netflix binge. 

My hopes for Ella Lane is to show people the love of Christ and how He sees you. If I'm not trying, everyday, to make this world a little better and a little brighter, then how can I expect the next generation to do just that?
